Challenge is finished

Companies working in the food plastic packaging industry are challenged with continuous requests of new and customized products, evolving with market trends. Thermoforming of film reels is a standard process that sees the utilization of machines and lines that produce plastic components at a constant pace. The maximum quality of the thermoformed components is fundamental, since the parts will be filled with foods and there are risks that non-conform components directly arrive at the final consumer dining table.

Today any manufacturing defects or foreign bodies are not automatically detected by thermoforming machines, but a manual inspection is required.

The need is to find anomalies during production by inspecting each single component and reporting any various defect.

The challenge giver is constantly pushing to innovate the products quality controls and is looking innovative ways to extend and automatize the quality control of the products manufactured by their machines.
