Improve Intelligent Pot Kit with IoT

En Digital Codesign ofrecemos entre otros productos un Kit educativo de Electrónica y Arduino llamado Maceta Inteligente. Ahora mismo el sistema es muy sencillo, contando con sensores de humedad del terreno, temperatura, humedad ambiental, luminosidad y una bomba para realizar los regados. En cuanto a comunicaciones, está provisto de un módulo para transmisión Bluetooth que nos permite ver desde un dispositivo móvil las medidas de los sensores y controlar la bomba de agua.

El objetivo del reto que planteamos aquí es mejorar el kit añadiendo Wi-Fi en la maceta para poder transmitir los datos recabados por los sensores a una Aplicación Web donde guardemos dicha información en una base de datos para disponer de un registro temporal de medidas. Teniendo esta característica implementada lo siguiente sería incluir el control de la bomba de agua desde la misma Aplicación.

At Digital Codesign we offer, among other products, an Educational Electronics and Arduino Kit called Smart Pot. Right now the system is very simple, with sensors for soil humidity, temperature, environmental humidity, light and a pump to carry out the watering. In terms of communications, it is equipped with a module for Bluetooth transmission that allows us to see the measurements of the sensors from a mobile device and control the water pump.

The objective of the challenge that we propose here is to improve the kit by adding wireless communications in the pot to be able to transmit the data collected by the sensors to a Web Application where we store said information in a database to have a record of measurements across the time. Having this feature implemented, the following would be to include the control of the water pump from the same Application.
